Biography
Jin Ha Hwang is an expert adviser at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas are internal controls, enterprise risk management (ERM), financial regulatory compliance, and IT and information security controls.
Mr. Hwang performed internal control advisory and audit work across the financial and non-financial sectors for approximately 12 years, including as a Director at Samjong KPMG and at a major law firm. He led projects concerning financial institutions’ implementation of accountability frameworks, advancement of anti-money laundering (AML) systems, and establishment of financial consumer protection frameworks. He has also developed comprehensive practical capabilities encompassing both process and IT controls, ranging from ERM and reviews of internal accounting control systems to assessments of IT systems and information security risks. Based on his broad understanding of the industries and experience in IT and security audits, he provides strategic advice on the advancement of internal controls, responses to financial regulations, and reviews of IT and electronic data processing controls.
