Soon Ma is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and her main practice area is financial and capital markets.
Ms. Ma is a leading expert in financial regulation and capital markets, having served for approximately 20 years in key posts across financial regulatory authorities, including the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Having served in major policy divisions at the FSC – including as Head of the Financial Regulatory Sandbox Team (Fintech) and Director of the Capital Market Investigation Division 2 – she oversaw a comprehensive range of financial administrative matters, from financial policymaking, licensing, and sanctions to securities crime investigations.
Drawing upon nearly two decades of hands-on policy and legislative experience within financial authorities and a profound understanding of regulatory and supervisory practices, she provides clear and strategic legal counsel across the financial sector.
