Biography
Hwa Yeon Ahn is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and her main practice areas include criminal defense, food & drug, serious accidents, and intellectual property.
Ms. Ahn began her career as a prosecutor at the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office in 2015 and served in the prosecution service for more than 10 years, handling investigations and trial work involving food & drug, serious accidents, patent and intellectual property, and general criminal matters. In particular, she built outstanding expertise in these fields by taking charge of investigations and prosecutions in illegal rebate and bid-rigging cases in the food and pharmaceutical sector, as well as the Hwaseong battery plant fire case. Drawing on this practical experience at the prosecution service, she provides strategic legal advice across investigation response and compliance for food, pharmaceutical, and bio companies, responses under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, intellectual property disputes, and corporate criminal litigation in general.
