Biography
Sung Sik Lee is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and his main practice areas are criminal law, general corporate management activities, occupational safety, serious accidents and criminal trials.
He began his legal career as a prosecutor after completing the Judicial Research and Training Institute (32nd Class) and has held key positions within the prosecution and the Ministry of Justice, including the 3rd Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Chief Prosecutor at the Pohang Branch of the Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office, and Director of the Public Criminal Affairs Division at the Ministry of Justice. While serving at the Ministry of Justice, he participated in the task force for drafting the Enforcement Decree of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and obtained certification as a Specialized Prosecutor in Labor Law, demonstrating his expertise in serious accidents and labor-related criminal matters. As Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Lee supervised major criminal and anti-corruption cases across a wide range of areas including industrial safety, international crime, IT, and trade secrets, gaining extensive experience in both investigation and trial practice. Based on his prosecutorial experience, Sung Sik Lee advises clients on labor-related criminal matters, corporate criminal risk management, and all stages of investigation and trial proceedings.
