Jae Moon Shin is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas are corporate criminal defense, criminal risk management, and reponse to law enforcement investigations.
After passing the Attorney-Qualifying Exam, Mr. Shin served in the police force for over a decade, establishing himself as a leading criminal law and investigation expert who directed major investigations into intelligence, economic, and public crimes. He demonstrated outstanding investigative leadership and organizational management capabilities through key roles across the law enforcement structure, including serving with the Special Investigiation Division of the National Police Agency, Team Leader of the Intelligence Crime Investigation Unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Chief of Investigation/Criminal Investigation Divisions at major police stations, and Section Chief at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Regional Investigation Brigade and Special Investigation Headquarters.

In particular, building upon his extensive hands-on experience directing investigations into high-profile breach of trust, bribery, and rebate cases involving major conglomerates, financial institutions, and public sector entities, Mr. Shin possesses specialized expertise in responding to compulsory investigative actions (i.e., search and seizure) on-site and managing associated media and external risks.
