On November 7, 2018, Yoon & Yang LLC and HKA co-hosted “Seminar on FIDIC and Legal Issues Regarding Overseas Construction Projects.” HKA is one of the world’s leading providers of advisory, consulting and expert services for the construction, manufacturing industries.
In 2017, the FIDIC (Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils) standard contracts, which are deemed to be the global standard contracts in construction, were significantly modified from its previous 1999 version. Due to the amendments of the FIDIC Yellow Book, Red Book and Silver Book, the companies involved in overseas construction projects are likely to face many difficulties caused by amendment of the FIDIC standard contracts.
In this context, Yoon & Yang LLC hosted a seminar, jointly with HKA to introduce the change in global standard contracts and a wide range of issues arising in relation to the Korean laws in the course of overseas construction projects. Furthermore, the construction laws of Indonesia, an internationally recognized emerging economy, were addressed by Indonesia-educated Yoon & Yang’s attorney, Dae Ho Lee.
This seminar was designed to help companies engaged in overseas construction projects to understand the recent trends and relevant regulations.
