Uni-President’s acquisition of Woongjin Foods selected as the ‘Representative M&A deal’ and the ‘Best Transnational M&A deal’ in Taiwan

Taiwanese Uni-President Enterprises Corp.’s acquisition of Woongjin Foods Co., Ltd. has won the ‘Representative M&A Transaction of the Year’ and the ‘Best Transnational M&A Transaction of the Year’ at the Taiwan M&A Awards 2019, a prestigious award ceremony in Taiwan. Yoon & Yang advised Uni-President Enterprises Corp. in this deal.
Especially, Yoon & Yang advised Uni-President Enterprises Corp. in acquiring 75 % shares and managerial rights of Woongjin Foods from Hahn & Company’s PEF Hahn & Co. F&B Holdings. Yoon & Yang successfully provided Uni-President Enterprises Corp. with legal advice in regards to all aspects of the transaction including negotiation, legal due diligence and deal closing.
The Taiwan M&A Awards is an annual M&A and PE awards ceremony which has been hosted by the Taiwan Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Council (MAPECT). The awards annually select and celebrate best M&A and PE deals in Taiwan.
