Beom Gu Kang is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and his main practice areas are real estate, project financing and real estate financing, construction and urban improvement.
He is a real estate financing and legislative specialist who served for approximately 14 years at the Korea Real Estate Board (REB), where he held leadership roles including Head of the Legal Support Division and Head of the REITs Review Division. During his tenure at REB, he oversaw licensing and approvals for the establishment of REITs and asset management companies (AMCs), the development of REITs supervision and inspection frameworks, the introduction of project REITs, and the frameworks and legislative amendments relating to real estate PF and urban redevelopment. He also worked closely with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, participating directly in major legislative and policy initiatives, including amendments of the Real Estate Investment Company Act. Moreover, Kang has handled a broad range of first-hand real estate matters, including review of management and disposition plans for urban redevelopment projects, construction cost verification, and disputes related to land compensation and property appraisal.

At Yoon & Yang LLC, he currently focuses on REITs and AMC licensing and regulatory compliance, project REIT and real estate PF consulting, dispute resolution relating to urban redevelopment and land compensation, advisory services related to PF mediation and coordination committees, and real estate legislation and policy consulting, etc.
