Yoon & Yang Won Three Awards at The 4th Korea Legal Awards

On June 16, 2021, Yoon & Yang has received a total of three awards in the 4th Korea Legal Awards co-hosted by Moneytoday, one of Korea’s renowned economic daily newspapers and Korea In-house Counsel Association (KICA).
Korea Legal Awards annually select the best Korean law firms and legal professionals in four categories by evaluating innovativeness and significance of the litigations/transactions.
Among four categories, Yoon & Yang won three categories and became the only law firm winning in the largest number of categories.
Details of Yoon & Yang’s achievement are as below:
- Non-contentious Award (Corporate Advisory Group) – Advice on Korean Air’s acquisition of Asiana Airlines
- Contentious Award (IP Practice Group and Corporate Litigation Practice Group) – Successful representation of Medytox in provisional injunctions petition for revoking Korean government’s cancellation of product approvals and subsequent suspension of manufacturing and sales of products
- Public Interests Award (Yoon & Yang Pro Bono Foundation; Employment & Labor Practice Group) – Successful representation in litigation protecting the rights of nurses in workplace bullying and acknowledgement of the industrial accident
