Yong-Woo Jeon is a senior advisor at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas include government procurement, national defense, and aviation.
Mr. Jeon began his career as a researcher at the Research Institute of the Armory of the Ministry of National Defense, followed by working as the executive in charge of aircraft production & sales at Samsung Techwin (formerly Samsung Aerospace Industries), manager of overseas aircraft sales at the Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd., Representative Director of FIRSTEC, Co., Ltd. and UCONSYSTEM. He also served as Vice-chairman of the Korea Association of Defense Industry Studies, Director of the Korean Society for Aeronautical & Space Sciences, Head Commissioner of the Commission for Development of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (Korea Defense Industry Association), Examiner for Level 1 & Level 2 National Technical Qualifications Test, Examiner of the Committee for Examination of Regulations of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Special Commissioner for civil-military technical cooperation at the National Science & Technology Council, and Vice-chairman of the Next Defense Forum. Currently, he lectures as an Adjunct Professor at Korea University School of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Jeon’s achievements were recognized with the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit at the 35th Korea National Quality Award.
